Behind the name Sunny Ray

Sunny Ray is an artist who started from a very young age. She didn’t have many friends and was an introverted girl wanting to be an extrovert. She put together puzzles of dragons and fairies in my room, as well as reading and listening to audiobooks as part of her hobbies, but most of all, she loved watching anime. She collected dragon toys and figurines and was obsessed with animals, nature, and my hamster and she really enjoyed being alone.

“I’ve always liked editing and art, so it all came together. I started posting online as my favorite characters and luckily all the things I was embarrassed to like when I was younger started trending in my adult years. So now I can do what I want without fear and I can be myself completely. And that’s how I got to be Sunny Ray ,” said the Arkansas-born artist.

Sunny Ray has a total of 3 million followers counting the different social media platforms, and she confesses that despite her popularity she still gets nervous when posting or launching new things because I feel that no one will care, although she always ends up getting a pleasant surprise. The artist also confesses that her work is arduous, since for each of her recreations she occupies 6 or 8 hours a day, working 4 or 5 days a week.

Cosplay and NFTs

Sunny Ray confesses that almost all of her ideas come from characters she has loved throughout her life or new characters that, in her words, are just “cool.”

“I also get a lot of inspiration from all the people who follow me. I love taking suggestions from followers and bringing them to life. I’ve also done some original characters that I only create in my head and do my best to create in reality. I like to push the boundaries and do weird things that other people might not do just because it’s more rewarding when the finished product comes out exactly how I saw it in my head.”

In that sense, and regarding the launch of her NFTs, the artist comments that she will feature some of her favorite characters, which she has created along with a backstory on how and why she brought a certain protagonist of the anime industry to life. , comics, video games, or the entertainment industry in general.

“I am also very excited to release original art that I hope people will enjoy! This is one of those cases I mentioned earlier about being nervous about releasing new stuff because it’s hard to believe anyone cares. But if even one person can think any of it is cool, I’ll be ecstatic.”
