NETGEAR works with SuperRare to create NFT display frames

NETGEAR has announced a unique partnership with SuperRare. The innovative company pioneering advanced networking technologies for homes, businesses, and service providers around the world is now entering the web3 space. The new partnership will see NETGEAR join the SuperRare DAO. Together they will design and develop a licensing and royalty model for NFT digital displays.

NETGEAR and SuperRare will create a new digital art model

The news of NETGEAR joining the SuperRare DAO is a big moment for the world of digital art. NETGEAR’s acquisition of $RARE tokens and involvement in DAO marks a starting point for its entry into web3. The company plans to create a new model for digital art in the 21st century. Additionally, through this new model, they intend to focus on decentralizing curation, empowering artists, building communities, and more.

“By introducing digital scarcity into art and collectibles, NFTs and blockchain technology have granted new economic and creative powers to digital artists. NETGEAR supports this exciting development and is committed to working with creators, collectors, and enthusiasts to create a licensing model that reflects their interests,” said Poppy Simpson, Senior Product and Content Manager for NETGEAR’s Meuural Product Line.

How will the NETGEAR licensing model work?

So far, we know that the licensing model will support SuperRare collections curated on NETGEAR’s Meural platform. Meuural is a platform that contains Wi-Fi-connected digital screens, a smartphone app, a web portal, and an extensive art library. They created a new way to interact and enjoy art and photos. Plus, they make sure creators get the credit and profit they deserve.

Meuural Canvas is a truly innovative product that has been part of the NETGEAR smart home product line since 2018. It is a digital canvas that offers a unique and realistic artistic experience. The canvas has over 30,000 licensed artworks. You can control the screen using gestures, a computer, a smartphone app, or Amazon Alexa.

This is great for viewing NFT collections and allows people to showcase their favorite images wherever they want.

NETGEAR teams up with SuperRare DAO to create a new model of digital art.

“We are thrilled that NETGEAR is joining the SuperRare DAO. We believe his expertise in creating display technologies, licensed content and streaming art will help us move forward as we continue to build an open and fair future for digital art,” said John Crain, Co-Founder, and CEO of SuperRare.

NETGEAR Meural SuperRare Popup Event

Finally, starting August 28, Meural will also participate in a spectacular SuperRare pop-up gallery in New York. The event will bring the NFT community together and features a rotation of five NFT exhibits. NETGEAR’s Meural will also showcase 100  SuperRare artworks as they work on the new licensing model.

NFTs are now a huge part of the art world, and with Forbes estimating the industry to be worth over $230 billion by 2031, a new licensing model for the digital age needs to be introduced.
